Places to hide items?

I'm looking for *interesting* ideas as to where i can hide things from people's view. Mainly, im looking for an easy place to hide my radio faceplate/cover, other than the normal, in the glovebox/under the seat. Just in case someones already inside the vehicle, theres a better chance at them not finding it. I'm thinking something with velcro, but im stumped. 96 interior.

this what i do when i get puller over by the law, get everything that not legal to have, and i pop open the area around the shifter off, and stick everything in there and pop it back on. its really easy to do and only take a few moments to do. So if you want to hide things from people, this would be the place i would use. i ve even had the car seached and they didn't even thouch the shifter area, so it works really good

na, it all depends why they are searching....

if they just want a look, they wont bother, if it is a full on search(drugs, ect.) they will look

Re: Places to hide items?

I'm sorry...I should've used lazy, or just inexperienced...The best way to hide stuff is to not have stuff you shouldn't have in the first place...And if you get pulled over its not a good idea to move around inside hiding stuff, believe me they can see you doing it, even if its only slight movement, and it just escalates the whole stop...The only other place I can think of to hide stuff, radio faceplate, would be where the spare tire/jack go in the rear panel...

I guess you could leave the middle two screws out of the panel near the door/carpet so you can flex it and drop it in there, though I don't know how hard it would be to retrieve.

Or do what the Mexicans do, hide it in your rectum

Mesh behind the seats, under the spare tire cover, under the rear seats.

Re: Places to hide items?

I still remember, I had a 83 S10 pickup, standard cab, short bed, I had a cheap aftermarker radio in it, the truck was stolen, and when it was recovered, it had a even better radio in it, LOL, just had to fix the door and column
