Pigtail in engine bay on DS

I just put headers on my car. When installing everything, I noticed a purple 3 pin connector, which looks just like the MAF connector, in terms of color and shape, near the DS wheel well. I assume its for VSS and not hooked to anything. It is not capped off, which had me concerned it was for something else. Did the factory put covers on unused connectors? I dont have VSS.

Can someone confirm. I looked at Shoebox's website and I think it is the VSS sensor connector, but not 100% sure because the color of the connector is different.

BTW everything else is plugged in as far as things I removed.

Yes, you do have VSS (vehicle speed sensor). You must mean something else. No, they don't cap connectors. I can't remember exactly, but I think it might be for the AIR pump.

IF the AIR pump was removed then yes that is the connector you see.

Thanks all.

I figured it out. The pigtail I referred to goes to the underneath of the AIR pump. That connector then runs up to the valve/switch for the AIR pump near the intake. Thats what confused me. One end is 3 wire, the other is 2 wire. The connectors are obviously different. I pulled the AIR pump from the scrap file and noticed how it was wired up.
