P0405 EGR Flow Sensor A Low Input???

I have this code even though I had my PCM custom programmed & they deleted the EGR completely. The EGR has been off the car for 2 years and I want the darn light to go away!

Anyone have any ideas? I dont understand it...the code is there, but I dont even have EGR, and is was supposed to have been deleted from the PCM???

Thanks guys!

Maybe they missed it when they reprogrammed for the delete. Its the circuit continuity check on the EGR pintle position feedback circuit.

The GM online diagnostic guide indicates that code "detects if the pintle position feedback circuit is open or shorted to ground". Code sets when the EGR feedback signal is less than 0.14 Volts. Only condition required to enable the diagnostic is system voltage is greater than 11.7 Volts.

Maybe a wire has been pinched or shorted out. Check the harness wires for the EGR system, or whatever is left (cut off wires?? taped??) since you removed the valve.
