Magnaflow sounding stock??? pipes too small?

Just put on my Magnaflow muffler part number 14267 from summit with a 3inch inlet and dual 2.5 inch outlets. It sounds great until i added the 90 degree tubes I also got from summit found here. Then it sounds STOCK (or close to it) no rumble or hummm even with LT's and an ORY. This is a pretty expensive setup just to sound stock. The tubes i got from summit have a 2.5 Oustide Diameter so they slide Inside of the muffler oulets then get clamped which is making me wonder if they are to small??? do i need 2.5 I.D. instead of 2.5 O.D.?
I wouldn't mind driving around with straitpipes but i don't wanna get pulled over and have the cop see that i have no cats.

what can i do to make this setup louder?

its prolly that 90 degree pipe because my brother has cherry bomb on his blazer and has a 90 degree down pipe and it sounds quite, but when he takes it off it sounds louder. idk just take it off and see

You need to give the muffler a bit of time to break in. It'll get louder... Put a couple hundred miles on it and see what you think of it then.

Could just be the nature of the muffler. I have the Magnaflow catback on my car along with long tubes and an off-road y-pipe and I think a stock exhaust LT1 sounds a little louder then my setup.

There is no way in hell the stock exhaust is louder, I know my magnaflow setup (w/ gutted cat and headers) is way louder than stock, especially accelerating at all. When it was just the catback it was noticeably louder than stock too, I don't see how people can say this with a straight face... Is there more than one style of magnaflow muffler for these cars?? Mine is setup by way of the baffles so that most of the exhaust just comes straight out the passenger side without much muffling. Probably quiet when compared to a loudmouth but stock?? No way...

Compare this car.... stock manifolds and cats. only magnaflow catback...

Now I have LTs and no Cats and mine doesn't sound that loud at all. But i'm obviously not as quiet as a stock car.

I have the magnaflow "Wide Open" muffler with the supposedly "deep tone" and mine is loud i guess, but not deep.

What i will say is that within the past few days is has gotten a tad bit louder then when i first put it on. hope you are right SteveO..

I guess i was just hoping for more grunt
