I feel your pain.

A set of Goodyear GS-D3 tires in Canada? $1250. Michelin Pilot A/S? $1320 In the US, those tires are half the price and they'll mail them to you for free!

Anything I order from the US gets charged both local and federal sales taxes (13%) when it gets to Canada (tax charged after raising the price to Canadian dollars of course). Shipping offers that are free or low cost in the US aren't in Canada (I can only imagine what you get dinged with)

I've seen Red Top Optimas for sale at Wal-Mart for $179.99. Twice the price of a regular battery and ugly. I'll just take a standard battery thank you.

Hi there "Gord's Green Z28",
Finally someone who agrees that Optima batterries are an overpriced gimmick .Yeah the price of parts over here sucks so I'm not about to go wasting hard earned money on a bright red or yellow battery LOL.
On a recent visit to my local tire depot I was quoted £233 for one Goodyear Eagle 245/50/16 tire, which equals £932 for a set of 4, which at the current exchange rate is around $1800,and they didn't even have them in stock .
I ended up mail ordering some Cooper Zeon 2xs tires for less than half that price from Scotland.
I'd like a cat-back exhaust but the mailing cost from U.S to U.K is almost as much as the exhaust itself.I have a guy about 45 miles away from me that can supply any factory fit AC Delco part I require but unfortunately he only sells stock parts so I can't source my performance parts from him.
Nice talking to you,all the best,Mark.

You people who live in the cold, why don't you just buy a battery blanket? They cost about $20 and have heater elements that you plug in to the wall.
Because thats not convenient and some of us arent able to even if we wanted to.

Optimas claim to fame is you can mount them upside down and any other way you wish. That is the reason for the 4x4 pics. you can mount them in the cab as they dont requier a vent tube and their just all around great batts.

I've had my red top going on four years with no problems. Of course, the coldest my car has seen is low 20s.

Roommate has had a redtop sitting in our living room for about 6 months, since his car went up on jackstands in the garage. A while back he told me his battery was dead in his other car, so he was going to try to jump it with the optima. I was not optimistic about it working, but it fired right up!

Oh, and ImportKiller I dig the sig. Hack any Arunmor or ARC servers recently?
