Battery Issue? Car doesnt start, Help!!

I get into my car tonight and try starting up the car. I just hear this very fast clicking noise. What does that mean? I drove my car 2 days ago without any problems. Do I need a new battery? The headlights were working. Battery is maybe 2 years old.

Could be a weak battery that finally went bad. You could take it to a parts store and have them load test it for you and go from there.

chech the connections for corrosion then if there tight /not corroded and it wont start take it to a parts house and have it load tested. then if its bad buy a better bat.

Battery s**t the bed on ya. Low voltage would cause the clicking. Unless you left something on, it sounds like it's not holding a charge.

One thing that would cause the battery to dead, is if you have any shorts or something that is drawing power when your key is off. There are systems on a Camaro that would draw power that are always on, like the air bags!

Sounds like im gonna have to get a new battery. It has nothing to do with the starter does it? like i said, i drove the car 2 days ago and the voltage gauge looked fine to me.

I know this doesn't sound like fun but you should get your alternator checked as well. Your battery could be fine but the alternator could just be failing at recharging.

I would say, get your battery checked out at a AutoZone/Checker type store. If they say it's fine, then you may need to get the alternator checked out. Good luck man! I wish you the best.

Most batteries have a free 3 year replacement warranty, then prorated after that.

There are many cases that can lead to a no-start, a bad starter being one of them. However, I would check the battery first, which is the easiest starting point and one of the more common culprits.
