It's been done and is pretty easy to do. The biggest hurdle is getting a tall enough cowl hood to clear the intake. By the time you install a dual plane intake manifold, carb and air cleaner you are sticking way out of the factory hood. You could convert a LT1 intake to work on the SBC. Have a distrubutor hole machined in it and make a coolant crossover.

The LT1 intake was designed specifically to fit low profile under the hood of a 4th gen f-body.
