odometer and trip stuck

odometer and trip stuck

Anybody know how this can be fixed? Can u just take it out and wind it ahead to help it along, or will that not do anything?

Wow i thought i was the only one with the trip stuck. Please help me i need that to work running out of gas sure isnt fun.
