Just went to AutoZone today to have my ses code checked, the light came on earlier today. Obviously there is no power at this scanner terminal, they tried two different scanners and both did not read anything, the display on both staid dark....

Could it be a fuse ?

I never had any electrical issues with this car (99 Z28), only the cigarette lighter never worked but I never attempted to find out why ... could this scanner terminal and the lighter be on the same fuse ???

Anybody ever had this problem ???

 

Yes, the fuse for the lighter also provides power to the DLC.

 

Thanks, just checked the fuses..... (last night it was already dark, couldn't see much)... the one for the lighter was the problem...
