replacing power steering rack

my power steering pump started "MOANING" when i turned the wheel this morning. checked the fluid level and it was low...not sure how i missed that the last time i checked fluids..but anyway.

i've noticed the last few times under the car that some fluid is leaking out of the steering rack (not sure actual name...kindda the old rack&pinion).

is there something minor that can be changed to stop leaks? maybe a rebuild gasket or o-ring kit? or do i need the entirely new unit?

the leak is slow, so i'm not immediately worried, but eventually i'll need to fix it.

thanks

Here is an exploded view that might help you make a decision on what to do.
