No power to 87 IROC, any ideas?

I went to start my 87 IROC today, but I got nothing. No cranking sound, no lights, no horn, nothing. I just ran it about a week ago with no problems for the first time in about 4 months. I figured dead battery, so I put the charger on and it read full charge. The engine hood light came on immiedietly. So I decided to try and start the car. As soon as I turned the key, I lost everything, lights, horn, power to charger etc. So I unplugged the charger and plugged it back in and the power came back. I can not find my jumper cables, so I can't try jumping it. Any ideas? Anthing else I should try?

One thing to check is to make sure that you have a good connection between the battery terminals and the cables connectors. Maybe disconnect them and have a good look, clean them and then put them back on. Allen

Clean the terminals and replace the cables, check the ground as well. Buy some of that stuff you spray on them terminals to keep them from corroding again.
white lithium grease,or vasalene (sp?) works too.
