not nearly as slow as before, but its still not as fast as the driver's side -- which is STOCK with about 56k miles on it.
brand new aftermarket (siemens) motor.

Re: so i replaced my passsenger side window motor
yea i sprayed it down with some white lithium grease, not sure how much that helped
shoebox, two suggestions for your R&R window motor tutorial:
1) make it big bolded red blinking text that the SMC in the door is bad for you, cause i aparently missed that and now i'm coughing up that crap. YUCK!
2) aparently 98+ doors are slightly different, they use different bolt holes in the motor and require different drilling spots. please update your site to mention this.

You are the first person to tell me that there are different mounting positions for the motor. I need some more confirmation on that.

and as for power window motors
mine:

yours:

unless i'm looking at it upside down ... but my door also didn't have the same grooves, holes, and ridges yours did so it was very difficult to mach it up. i ended up drilling a pilot hole by accident to find the correct hole location ... DOH!
Re: so i replaced my passsenger side window motor
You have a LOT of corrosion on that motor. I would be checking the wire harness and connector ends. It is helpful in some cases to clean the parts before relub. Also the window alignment adjusters can put dragging forces on the window if not set correctly.
My bet is on the connectors/wires being corroded.

Re: so i replaced my passsenger side window motor
I'm trying to R&R my motors. Both sides are pretty bad. The passanger side will go up most of the way, so I'm going to just try lubbing up the tracks for now.
I've removed the drivers side motor and am now trying to revive it. I connected it to the switch with no window attached and it would 'die' going up after about 1 second. I lifted up the seal where that gear is and sprayed a bunch of WD-40 in there.
After having it move down for a few minutes (with sprays every so often) I started on the upwards movements. They are working ok now. I can get the motor to spin for about 20 seconds before it'll shut off (Still with no window connected..) Right now it's resting in some solvents.
Tommorow I'm going to blow it all out, and fill it with some lithium grease and see how it goes. If the motor will spin upwards for 30+ seconds I will try to reinstall the entire assembly.
A question though, when you guys remove the motors, do you remove the scissor tracks as well? Or do you just remove the motor itself? I have a feeling these scissors are going to be a little aggravating to reinstall, anyone have any pointers?

read shoebox's site
as for all the work your doing, they're 55 bucks each brand new from autozone with lifetime warranty ... totally not worth rebuilding unless you make it beefier somehow.

hehe scott its reversed...
as for the thing, I can verrify it works just fine for 98+
And scott try that thicker wire crap out and tell me how it does.
