And I have a few questions. It has the 12 disc changer. When I put a CD in the top one and close it. I go to my car and I press the AUX TAPE and it shows disc 12 and then a few seconds later it says Err. Anything I could be doing wrong? Its a legit disc.

 

Have you tried running a cd cleaner through it? If you have or if that doesnt help, and no cd at all will play in it, then it is probably worn out. Check the for sale section here and ebay for a factory replacment.

Are you putting the CD in with the "right' side up. If I remember correctly, the gold side should be up. Also make sure the door is closed all the way, this is a known problem.

 

Mine did the same thing. I took the cover off and cleaned the lens with a swab and some alcohol. Presto, works mint now.

Becareful using alcohol on the lens. it makes the plastic degrade faster and will usually leave a film. Try using something like eye glass cleaning solution or contact lense cleaner. I know some of them have alcohol in them aswell but it is in such a small amount it should not cause an issue. Also there is a great cleaner specifically for plastic lenses of all sorts I believe it is called Plextor. It is in a black can with blue graphics. I used it on mu paintball mask lenses.

 

Ive had my disc changer just up and stop working all together. Every disc would just read ERR. I ended up unplugging and reconnecting the wire harness on it. Worked fine since.
