New Camaro Owner Here

Whats Up...Im New to the Camaro family...& New To The Boards. I just bought a 97 RS Camaro with a Good Body outside of the front bumper cover. The engine was bad but surprisingly FIRESTONE...yea the Tire place found me a v8 for 2400 including the swap! I bought the 'Maro for $700 I think its a pretty good deal as the body had 120k miles on it. But I definitely want to do some Mods. "This is where you guys come in" I have no friggin clue what to do! I know that I wanna get the Engine a little stronger and the interior needs to be completely re-done Seats, Dash, upholstery...etc Im in Dallas so any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Is your V8 swap engine an LT1? If so, what year vehicle did it come out of? Automatic or manual trans? Does your V6 chassis have an open differential and drum rear brakes?

The answer to those questions will determine the path forward to improved performance.
