Need quick help with windshield wipers

My wife just called me from her work and said that her windshield wipers won't turn off. The only thing i can think is maybe there is something wrong with the dial you turn to get them to work.

Is there a fuse you can pull that will just turn them off until she get's home? She doesn't want to drive home with them on, and i can't go to look at it to see.

Thanks man!

Is this a wiper only fuse? I mean, Is she going to lose blinkers or horn or anything else when she pulls it? I can see it now, she pulls it and calls me up screaming because now the "radio is busted!"

Re: Need quick help with windshield wipers

Well, the car is home now and i think it has something to do with the lever.

Everything on the lever works (cruise, turn signals) except the part where you turn the windshield wipers. I can get them to go all the different speeds:

High speed
Low speed
and all the delay speeds

But there is no click between "off" and the delay speeds. There is a little bit of resistance and a small "click" in the middle of the delay speeds but even when i have it between "off" and the click in the middle of the delay speeds they still won't shut off. Because of that i'm thinking it's something mechanical in the lever itself.

Any input?
