Need To Be Pointed In the Right Direction
Well tomorrow i will be purchasing a oil temp gauge and fuel pressure gauge for my 97 Z.. for the oil i will be using the location above the oil filter i would like to know if the sending unit will screw right in or will i need a adapter and what size im gonna need to make it work, Same with the fuel pressure sending unit that will be installed on the schrader valve on the fuel rail. any help would be great thanks

Don't know about the fuel pressure sending unit, I never hooked one up.
Re: Need To Be Pointed In the Right Direction
I sent you a PM with info on putting the temp sender in the oil drain plug, and where to mount the "black box" for the fuel pressure gauge (thought AutoMeter stopped making 'em that wy??).
On connecting the fuel pressure sensor to the Schrader valve, here's a "cut and paste" that some people have found helpful:
=====
The Schrader valve supplies the fuel to a wet system, and is the place where you would also tap into for a fuel pressure gauge, or for a fuel pressure safety switch (FPSS). You need a way to connect to the Schrader valve, and a way to connect more than one “device”. This is the way I have done it.
Start with a NOS part # 17535 “-4AN 90-deg swivel fitting”. This provides the correct -4AN female to fit on the Schrader, a 90-deg bend to get the connection aimed away from the cowl, and the "swivel" feature that allows you to aim the connection in exactly the direction you want, then tighten it up. A non-swivel fitting can end up pointed in any old direction, and you can't just tighten it some more to change the direction.... the Schrader fitting can break right of the line.
NEVER over-tighten the “AN” type connectors, and NEVER apply any real pressure to the one attached to the Schrader valve. The Schrader fitting is only swedged onto the hard pipe. It is an expensive part to replace.
Run a short braided -4AN S/S hose from the 17535 fitting to a brass "tee". The hose should have a -4AN female on one end to attach to the 17535, and 1/8" NPT male on the other to screw into the 1/8" NPT brass tee. NOS makes these hoses, but only in 24" length... I have seen shorter and custom lengths available on eBay for about 1/2 of what NOS charges.
The brass tee is available in any hardware or auto parts store. It will be a block of brass with 1/8” NPT female threads on both ends, and on one side. If you only need to attach a single device, use a brass 1/8"NPT coupler between the sending unit and the hose end.
Your "tee" now has two 1/8" NPT holes... you screw the FPSS into the "side" hole. You need to attach your -4AN (I'm assuming that's the size??) fuel feed to the "end" hole on the tee. If your hose has a -4AN end on it, you need a -4AN male to 1/8" NPT male fitting to screw into the brass tee.
