Need help with wipers

This is going to sound odd, but for some unknown reason when I start my car up the wipers turn on by themselves The wiper switch is turned off and the wiper motor itself is fine, but they continue to stay on although they are off. The wipers never stay in an up position and always go down when they finally stop. If I leave them on long enough they usually turn off by themselves, but now it seems like it is taking longer for them to shut off. It seems to be happening every time I turn the car on whereas at first it was random. This has been going on for about two weeks now. I did a search already, but most of the results are wiper motor related. I honestly don't think the motor is the problem, but I could be wrong. Has this ever happened to anyone? PLEASE, any ideas/help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Need help with wipers

the control bored on the motor and the pigtail connecting to it are both common for shorts, especially if the motor is jumping around.

Re: Need help with wipers

The motor does move around a lot. Where can I find the control board on the motor and what fuse/socket would I be looking for? I got a feeling that might be it. Thanks very much for the feedback. Anyone else got any suggestions?
