Need help with transferring weight
Need help with transferring weight
So, im trying to figure out the best ways possible to help my car transfer weight.
Right now I
deleted front sway bar
moved battery to trunk
LCA relocation brackets
alternator only setup
I know the main things that will help are removing weight from the front, and a torque arm. Anything else I cant think of (givin it is almost 1 am).

You're addressing two different issues.... 1) weight removal/relocation, 2) and "transfer" - the dynamic weight shifts that occurs on launch. If your primary concern is reduction, go through this list and see what you can run without:

If its weight "transfer" during launch, tell us what you've done to the suspension so far. Things to look at:
-Adjustable front shocks that can be set "looser" to let the front end come up easier, and hold it there.
-poly torque arm bushing and tranny mount, or a TA that mounts to the chassis rather than the tranny tailshaft
-LCA's with rod ends
Moving the battery to the trunk usually adds weight to the car because of the heavy wire and vented box/hold-down, plus the kill switch. I opted for a light weight battery in the stock location, and save 11# off the front, without adding weight anywhere else.

yeah, i had to do the battery in the back due to my turbo kit.
I have relocation brackets, a spohn torque arm, and spohn LCAs with spherical rod ends.
Basically, im wanting the car to transfer the weight as best as possible.
What would be good shocks without breaking the bank? The QA1's are a little $$ for my taste, perhaps a lakewood shock?

Summit sells some 3 way adjustables that are 28.00 each. A few guys posting in the drag racing section rant and rave about them. Tom Cowle who has the bolt on record uses them.
Search summit drag shocks and find our app. Than find some v6 springs and your on your way to a cheap fix.
