Need help on exhuast selection - looking for a very..

I have a 94 camaro z28 with shorty headers, going into a offroad pipe going into the loudmouth. My car is very loud. I'm getting a supercharger and want to be able to hear the whistle of it. I wanted to queit my car down where it sounds like a stock one but with just a little more muscle tone sounding. Also since I removed the cat and have headers on. I know my car is not going to be as queit as stock. But I'm sure there exhuast systems out there that will tone it down allot more then what I HAVE now. What about the hooker exahust systems, magnaflow stainless steal, etc, etc. I dont want to spend a ton of money somewhere in the range of 350.00 only

Try www.ls1sounds.com It won't be exactly the same sound on the lt1, but you'll get a good idea. There are also these cone shapped things you can drop in that supposedly quite things down a bit.

Try Dynomax cat-back. Buddy of mine had it on his formula with LT's it had a great tone. I have a video clip of it but don't have the equip. to transfer to the cam. to the comp.

I have had Borla, and so do three of my friends. We all loved the way it sounds. It just a matter of finding witch plate you like, and personal perfrence. As stated above, see if you can do a search and find some exhaust clips to give you a better idea for what your looking for.

provides a much quieter tone than some other systems

yes, it sounds good on a car with stock manifolds and cats, but headers, no cat, and open plate...ick..too loud and raspy

hopefully with a cat, it will tone it down, if not, then im gonna have a custom full block off plate made, since i got mine used, and came with the biggest plate only

i think you'll be happy with the dynomax.

i've had the magnaflow on 2 cars. it sounds amazing on a car with cats in place. on an ORP it gets really raspy and loud. didn't relly like it.

$350 is pretty tight budget for an exhaust.

have you thought of trying to put a good muffler on the LM?

maybe just from the rear axle back instead of having to buy the whole thing?

maybe have a muffler shop weld up a dual chambered muffler setup like the GMMG. that would sound badass

Ahh so your suck with the open plate with LT's. I would just fab up a full block off plate or just order new ones from Borla for like $40. LT's and open plate does get to ya after awhile, you'll be MUCH happier with a full block off plate.

As far as which Dynomax system to get, just the one for the 4gen in 3" you wont be disapointed.

The 3" Dynomax is about $225 from Summit but you will also want some tips for it.
