Need To Drain The Gas Asap!!!!!

How can i drain the gas with out driving the car or dropping the gas tank??

There are 2 rubber/plastic plugs on the bottom rear of my gas tank near my license plate. . .can i pull them out to let it drain then pop them back in?
if not what other ways are there?

i just got a rebuild and the car has been sitting for about 2 years and is running like crrrraaap!!!! it feel like it does not even want to accelerate!

Give us a hint.... what year chassis are you asking about?

My 94 has two rubber plugs near the license plate, but those plugs are mounted in the hatch well sheet metal -nothing to do with the fuel tank. The fuel tank is up above the rear axle.

Siphon tube.... wiggle it to the bottom of the tank.... and suck.

I thought the roll over safetly ball would be in the way of getting a tube in there.

you can do it with a 3/8 hose......you wont fit a big hose in there but a smaller one will work

I've siphoned it many times in my 4th Gen.... no sense driving with C16 on the street, or with pump gas at the track . Never felt any evidence of a roll over valve.

What if you had a drain port on a very well guarded section of the tank, would that make things easier?

If the stock fuel pumps could survive more than a few minutes at very low fuel levels, you could just add a valve on the fuel supply line (or just disocnnect it), and activate the pump with the fuel pump prime connection to pump the tank out. Works fine with my Bosch fuel pumps, but running the stock pumps dry seems to fry them. Even though I have that capability, siphoning is easier.

are we assuming you have a factory electric pump?.

just disconnect the fuel line near the motor and run the fuel pump till it drains the tank.

WTF I've been trying to siphon my camaro and the hose (Real small) WILL NOT go down there It gets about 2/3rd the length of the neck in and wont go anymore. I've been tryin for a while. Is that that roll over valve? Is that new to 4th gen? I've never had this issue with my old 3rd gens.
