just put in an Alpine deck i bought from someone and we installed it. It worked fine until about 2 hours later tehn i think i heard a click and it just shut off and wont come back on. Also my reading lamps on the mirror will not come either now. What happened, i am not good with this stuff. I did check the fuse box and the chart in the owners manual and i cant find the fuses in the fuse box that are supposed to be for the radio. Im lost and confused. thanks Cory

 

You should have posted this in the stereo forum. It sounds like you did blow a fuse. You will need to find the one for the radio. look for the fuse that is blown in the fuse box. Make sure you change it out with the correct fuse (correct amperage).

 

Try the fuse in the end panel at the end of the dash labeled "Courtesy".

 

You might just have to go through all the fuses

 

i looked for some of those fuses and the ones for sourtesy and radio assy arent even there. I dont get it? but ill gop look at all the fuses 1 by 1. is it easy to tell if its a bad fuse?

 

I assume you are talking about your 95 (having a stolen 94 in the sig sure adds to the confusion). Shoebox has the radio wiring diagram on his website. Might want to take a look at it.

yes im talking about the 95, it already had an aftermarket CD player in it that was stolenm so we hooked up an alpine and it worked fine until a couple hours later then it shut off with my reading lamps as well i also oticed tht my low oil light doesn not come on before start up anymore. hnmmm wierd. whats the deal with that

it was a fuse, but it was fuse that that really didnt have anything to do with the radio or courtesy lamps according to the manual, i do belive that is because the car has been rewired in some awkward way before i bought it. Thanks for everything guys
