...for a '02 Z28. replacing stock muffler. something suttle but throaty. looking at a Flowmaster but what model? Any suggestions or reccomendations on any brand/model appreciated.

Ive heard the flowmaster 40 series and it sounds real throaty. Only problem is that ive heard that flowmasters are one of the most restricted mufflers around, someone correct me if im wrong

 

I like the sound of the 40 flowmaster. But I bought an 80 series that mounts transversely behind the rear axle like the factory muffler

 

yes, do not get the flowcrap muffler. If you want loud, do the slp loudmouth I or II. if you want good sound and flow do magnaflow. If you want quiet and flow do the SLP dual/dual. If you have money do the corsa or GMMG true duals 2.5"

never do flowmaster. besides, you're Ricky Bobby! You wake up in the morning and **** excellence!

 

Maybe look into the hookers aero chambers. They sound pretty good if your looking for something not to loud at idle but really draws attention at WOT.
