Monsoon problems

Hello all, well i am sure many of you also have this problem. Well, tonite i pulled into my gf's house and my monsoon HU was all functional then when i leave the lights on the numbers and trebble bass etc all went out.

I realize that this is fairly common with the monsoon units since i have a friend with a 2001 tahoe and his has like 6 buttons that dont light up.

My question is, is their any way to repair the HU without replaceing it? I mean it looks like crap when you cant even find the eject button on your CD player if your trying to sell the car. Also its now like a black hole in the middle of my dash which i HATE!

Anyone have any advice? Thanks

I believe there are LEDs behind the buttons.

I have removed the led's from my unit and trying to find replacement bulbs. You will need soldering tools.
