Minimal multimeter requirements

I need to buy a new digital multimeter and remember reading a couple post with responses from Injuneer (I think) that said to use a multimeter that will read at least ??? ohms resistance when you are testing certain PCM connections. I've searched but can't find any of the posts and didn't jot the info down. Is it 10m ohms? Thanks!

You might also want to get a multi-meter with a frequency scale. That will allow you to read the output of the MAF sensor. The meters are so cheap now that it makes no sense to buy one with limited capabilities.

The reference to "ohms" that I've made in the past is that you need a meter with a very high internal impedance to avoid putting a high current through whatever you are testing. A low impedance meter will put enough current through an O2 sensor when trying to read the milivolts, to damage the O2 sensor.

Thank you very much Gentlemen! Injuneer, when you say frequency scale, do you mean one that will read V or A input in Hz?

correct, if it has a Hz setting, you are good
