Main spark advance - tunercat...

Say i want to add 1 deg of timing. How much per cell do i add? i was told a "couple". Is 1 deg of additional timing all the cells +2 ? so +4 is 2 deg and so on? i know a couple is 2 but some people's 'couple' could be 3 or 4 or 5.

1° is 1.

Be very careful with your timing tables so you don't add too much. The stock tables are pretty aggressive to start with. You should also be armed with some data logging software, so you can track knock and spark retard on test runs. If added timing causes added knock retard, you are just making it run worse.

Yeah defintely log your car with Datamaster and see if you are getting any knock retard. If you are, pull back the timing in that area a degree at a time until its gone.
