LS1 Internals

Just wondering guys if the entire internals of an LS1 are forged....I heard just the Connecting rods and crankshaft.....any little help

Im gonna say no, if everything was forged im sure we would be seeing much higher shots of nitrios (sp)

nothin is forged in an ls1...unless the motor was bult by a previous owner

Not forged, but still strong. Just not as strong.

Cast pistons, power metal rods, and nodular iron crank is what I was told.

To expand on the above - Cast hypereutectic aluminum pistons, hot-forged powder metal alloy rods, nodular cast iron crank with variable radii undercuts and rolled fillets
