Low Coolant Light

I have an 02 Cameron AS and I have a low coolant light on my dash, but it doesn't light up when u first turn the key on and I can't find the sensor in the rad. It's definitely not there. I have looked on both sides. I guess they used a gauge cluster from a year that had the sensor? Thanks.

Also, on the passenger side opposite where the secondary air pump is there is a vacuum canister. It is about 6"-7" long. What is its purpose?

Low coolant sensors were finally taken off the F-body in '00 I believe. I know my car doesn't have one.

Ok thats good to know. Do u happen to know what the component is in the passenger splash area under the overflow bottle? It's about 6-7" long and has a vacuum line running to it. I unplugged the line and I heard it hiss as air escaped.

The sensor in the head by #1 is the ECT sensor, low coolant sensors were in the radiator a few inches below the fill cap. The other thing you disconnected was probably the vacuum resevoir/storage tank.

The vacuum reservoir is for the HVAC controls. Sounds like it hasn't changed much. This is Shoebox's photo from a 95:
