little click, big problem?

ok hopefully you guys can help, i bought a used 2000 camaro Z28 with about 67000. the previous owner gave me paper work from as early as 2001 from the dealer ship showing all maintenance done on the car. My car runs strong and has power, i noticed this afternoon though, that it makes a clicking sound after it turns on. Now other than that the car starts perfect, first try, everytime its just that it clicks right after it turns on. Another thing is that when i rev it in park, there is a slight rattle sound and i cant hear if its coming from the exhaust or somewhere else, should i be worried, i mean it runs perfect and starts perfect, no check engin light or anything light that, please help!

This would probably be better suited to the "General F-bod Tech" section. But exactly what kind of click are we talking about? Does it click once, continue the whole time its running, or only when cold, does it rise and fall with rpms, is it from the motor, or under the car? You need to give more info.

As far as the rattle - have a friend rev it while you do a walk around - or crawl under. That is the low tech solution.

The rattle maybe the O2 sensors. They have a ring on them that rattles a bit. Mine do this as well as on my 2001 Suburban. Small annoyance, nothing broken

Is it just when you turn it on, increasing with RPM (the click) If so, maybe the LS1 valve slap or something...

/Doesn't own an LS1... Not positive.

Possibly tighten your exhaust manifold bolts.

I know my LT1 had a clicking problem and was the culprit.

To the OP: It's a long shot, but are you sure that what you're hearing isn't the fuel pump priming to start the car? I guess it could sound like a click sort of...
