Guys my keyless pad won't unlock/lock the doors anymore. It does work to pop the trunk though. Changed the battery and the power locks do still work. How is that possible?

 

The button to lock/unlock doors is probably shot. This happens to all remotes after a lot of use. The trunk button isn't used nearly as often as the door lock/unlock button so it will last longer...you probably need a new remote. May have to get a new remote. Check the for sale section or check Auto Zone.

 

pop open the remote and wipe the inside of the buttons and the face of the circuit board clean with alcohal or electric cleaner. i go through it withmine all the time. it will work for about 2 weeks, then it'sback to not working and i have to wipe it down again. i have no idea why, but i just put up with it and everything works. give it a shot.

 

But both bottons don't work. Lock or unlock?

 

Like mentioned above, try cleaning the contacts inside the remote. I like to use a pencil eraser myself. Sometimes buttons on my remote won't work either until they are cleaned..

 

Mine does that too!!!! Just started. It is a 95Z. BUT I notice that if you are in the car and press the lock of unlock button I can hear the TRW box in the passenger kick panel click and the lights come on. I don't know what's going on but it is annoying.

 

My doors work but my trunk doesn't. Sometimes the trunk will pop, other times it won't do anything, and sometimes the dome light will come on but the hatch won't pop. Its frustrating. I can't put my trunk smooth lock on because of this. I've also tried a new remote. Any ideas?
