i was bitching about how the power window in my ss went out today, and i cant find the thread anymore!!! what exactly can we say or cant we say on this board? i believe that most of us are responsible adults and have heard semi-foul language before so what could have been the reason that it was deleted? as i said before, the car has 13,000 miles on it and the window motor went out on it, im sorry if i offended anyone but i was extremely pissed off and still am about the situation, i thought i could fume about it here for a little while, i guess i was wrong

 

dunno, but pull the door panel off, and lube up the regulator. I thought my motor went out too, turns out it was just working too hard.

 

ill give it a shot, i just cant believe that the motor went out at 13,000 mile mark.

 

I saw your thread. It was offensive to me. I would have deleted it if I was a moderator. Someone probably reported it to a moderator and they deleted it.

 

Ditto. I saw your thread, and it was filled with expletives and foul language. When I see posts like that I my forum, they are deleted. When I see them on another forum, I refuse to respond to them.

While foul language seems to permeate the day-to-day conversation of many people, it is actually possible to vent your frustration and communicate in a mature manner, without a bunch of 4-letter words.

You accepted certain terms when you signed on. Live with it.

that last response was out of line, i guess the filter between my brain and mouth wasnt functioning properly due to the fact that it is about 7 degree's here in mo.

In terms of power window motors, I had one die already on my '02, with about ~30k on the car, but considering the age difference between an '02 and a '95, you're doing not bad!

 

the sad part is it isnt the 95, its the 01'ss that has sat in the garage most of its life!!!

 

You're super pissed off about your power motor going out! Try a blown head gasket, that's something to get pissed about.

One of the other "rules" you apparently missed is the one that warns, you - if you feel your post was unjustly removed or locked, DO NOT post a followup complaining that you disagree. Deal directly with the moderator, or with the board administrators if you don't agree with what was done.

Posting a followup argument on the forum is one of the quickest reasons to be "banned" from the board. Interstingly, one of the moderators on this forum is one of the board owners.... and he's the one with his finger on the button.
