I need to find a SS Hood Insert

I have a 95 z28 Camaro and I purchased an aftermarket SS hood. The only thing is that the scoop isn't actually functional. The back part of the scoop where for instance where the filter or something might be is just solid. I would like to put something over that to make it look like an actual function scoop. If anyone knows of a place where I could purchase something like this then please let me know. I think I need a scoop insert of some type. Thanks!

yeah that looks like it might be it. The only thing is i wonder if it will work ok with an aftermarket hood. I will have to check it out. Anyone else have any suggestions on where to get one as well?

If it is the same as the stock one get it from gmpartsdirect.com. I had painted my stock one and when I wanted a new one the dealership wanted $80 for one (98-02 SS grill insert). gmpartsdirect charged me around $30.

Unfortunately it's not a stock hood, but it looks the same I believe I just hate to buy the thing and then not have it fit.

I'd contact the supplier of your aftermarket hood for the correct insert.
