I got a wheel off of the ground with boltons!

Yup yup.... that's right... I did it. Mods in sig... not even a full bolt-on car....

the catch: I didn't have a rear sway bar, and I dumped the clutch at 50 going into 2nd and the back left tire went into the air... according the guy the in the corvette next to me.

Him: That s*** is bad ***, your back left tire goes into the air and then it grips!!

Me:

upon further research turns out that doing this is common if you don't have a rear sway bar, but hey.... backwards wheelies are kinda cool?

I'm thinking the guy in the vette was seeing things. There is nothing you can do at 50mph short of hitting a bump that is gonna make the tire come off the ground.

I dont know my 60' time.... the track in my area is just doing it's "midnight madness" at the moment, which is basically they just open it to keep people from racing on the streets.. they display et's, traps, and reaction times... they don't give out a timeslip until the season starts again... which should be in about a month or so.

and my 8.5 was without a few of the mods in my sig and an almost dead fuel pump (nothing is more embarassing than your fuel pump going out while your doing a burnout.... it makes everyone think you stalled).

your mph from both of is very good. Highest I trapped was 82 on street tires. Best time in sig. What are you doing to get all the mph out of your setups?

I think my et is wrong... that time was from a friend of mine that was watching the times being displayed, as my local track doesn't give out print-outs. he said it was 89 but all my other traps have been 86-ish.

I don't think my 10 bolt is going to explode, seeing how it's in the junkyard with it's bent axles, broken pinion, and stripped axles that broke in two.

I wasn't really bragging about the whole tire in the air thing... it's kind of a joke.. I know it's bad on the drivetrain, but eh... it was fun.
