I can't believe I need help with this.

I'm pretty embarassed to ask for help for something so simple. One of my rear brake lights burnt out. I went to change it today. I took off the carpeting and was able to access the wingnut closest to the middle of the car. The other wingnut, I felt around all over for it and couldn't find it. After a good 10 minutes of pulling stuff apart and scratching my hand feeling for the spot I gave up. I saw it on the instruction manual but it had the entire carpteing removed, and to do that I would have to take a bolt out that holds my Bose unit in, and wasn't prepared for that. Anyways, can anyone tell me how to access the second wingnut nearest the side of the car. Thanks

PS - basic repairs and tune-ups on LT1s suck a big one compared to any other car ever made in the history of mankind

You have to take out that bose sub box to get to it. That's the only way.

After it's out you can get to it by just pulling the carpet back a little.

Obviously you've never seen under the hood of a big block 69-70 stang.
