I did a search and couldnt find what i was looking for. But today when i got home from work i turned my car off and i can hear a light humming noise coming from the back. Could it be my fuel pump? I opened my hatch and its coming from the left. I switched the key forward and i hear my fuel pump prime . the light hum was still humming. Dont think its my stereo its aftermarket and it was off. What else could it be? after a few minutes it went away. Its a 94 camaro z28. thanks!

 

It very well could be your stereo, especially if you have an amp.

 

With the engine not running, The pump only runs for a couple seconds and shuts down. You should not hear anything after it shuts off.
