How to tighten rear view mirror?

Ok, i've search CZ28.com and pounded Google. My rear view mirror on my '95 is loose and vibrating. If I push down on it against the mounting tang, it will tighten up for a bit. All my other cars have had a screw to tighten that wedged the mounting flanges together. This car appear to have nothing. What gives?

Mudbone,

Are you sure that there's no bolt or screw that you can tighten down in order to resolve the rear view mirror vibration issue? I seem to recall that the bolt located by the mounting bracket can be tightened down. It's depicted as ref #9 in the diagram below:

My 95 Z doesn't have a set screw either, but it is tight. You could take it off and drill and tap it for a set screw.

No setscrew that I can see is present. I tried to take it out of the car for a look-see in good light (you'll be old one day, too). I could not get the wire for the lights to release. There must be a trick to that that I can't master. I'll have a closer look tomorrow with the drop cord.

If I can ever get the damn thing off, I think the drill and tap idea is excellent. Thanks.
