Re: how much gas?

Did they mean the gauge is messed up, because below 1/4 tank on the gauge the needle falls like a rock. I get about 220 miles in town to a tank of gas, but I can go 100 miles befor the gauge falls to 3/4 tank. Talk about a messed up fuel gauge.

I believe it holds around 16 gallons, but when I run mine to the empty line it only takes 15 gallons.

yea, it's about 16 gallons
i ran mine down to an 1/8 (on the highway in 6th gear just trying to save every ounce of gas) so it might've been getting close but i guess i got lucky to get to the gas station in time

Re: how much gas?

Rated capacity is 15.5 gallons. If you fill it to the brim, you will get a little more in, but that's not necessarily a good idea, since it can put fuel into the charcoal EEC canister. From watching my gauge extensively, when the needle was exactly on the "1/2" mark, I had used 10 gallons, and had 5.5 gallons left. When the gauge was on the "1/4" mark there was less than 1.5 gallons left. Do NOT let it run out... it will likely damage the fuel pump.
