im giong to be shipping some seats out of a 94 Z28. They are the 2 tone(light grey/dark grey color) with seat track's(one manual,one power). How much do you think the entire set (the 2 front and rear seats) weigh? I some how crammed all of them into one box, but i dont have a scale and i want to find a couple shipping estimates..
anyone have any ideas?

 

mmm.. So thats like almost 150lbs.. i wonder if any place will take something that weighs that much?

 

i believe UPS's max weight is 150lbs

 

it's usually cheaper to ship them in several boxes

 

UPS charges a premium for boxes that weigh over 70lbs.
Example, I was sending off a pair of iron heads in one box, total weight was about 100lbs and the shipping was $65. Put each head in thier own box and the total was $32 ($16/head).

your front seats are probably going to weigh almost 100lbs, so box them separately.

 

Also, FedEx ground is usually cheaper than UPS, so get a quote from them as well.

 

i shipped them out a few days ago.. front seats with seat tracks, rear seats and full set of seat belts weighed 115lbs. and the shipping cost was $149.02.
