My car was the Florance Co. Sherriff's dept. narcotics unit. Talked to the cop that drove mine and he said that they had B4C's from 96'. He said that my motor was overhauled at like 60,000 miles because it knocked and used oil bad....Had it resleeved and added the LS6 cam and valvespring kit. Had the rebuild sheet from the dpt. in the back of the handbook. Just from my expierience I have ridden in LS1 auto cars and they usually shift at around 5900?? Mine shifts at 6200. Tested it with a real tach.... I would think that the police would have a little more then a civilian car!! Also, I KNOW that I dont have a speed limiter. Its to my understanding that these cars dont have a warrenty and that each dept. can mod them as they please. My car came straight from the dept. to me and already had an SLP lid also. I know that the officer that drove mine was the only one who drove it for 2 years and another officer drove it for a week while he was on vacation and wrecked it the first night he drove it... ....But it has a new hatch and bumper. My car had never been smoked in and he said it was the fastest one he had drove and he had 2 LT1's and 2 LS1's....I cant say if mine runs better than a completly stock Z28 B/C mine was already modded from the dept. . He said he babied it the whole time he had it and he loves all Camaros!
