How does an engine with "bent valves" act

My car is missing slightly, its kind of intermittent, especially under acceleration.... feels like an electrical problem with the ignition.
BUT I did over rev the car and bent some pushrods, could I have damaged some valves as well?

It might act a lot like you describe. Did you get all the bent pushrods replaced?

Yah I did, I also over torqued a couple of the last rocker arms, I realized this when I put the car back together and it made more noise then it did with bent pushrods

Looks like somebody used one of my torque wrenches as a breaker bar for something and it's off by about 8 to 10ft/lbs. So I had to take it all apart and now it's running, no valvetrain noise, but its missing pretty good.

Could be a bad lifter also. Need to identify which cylinder has the miss.

Compression test.
Read the spark plugs.
Measure the exhaust temps, each cylinder.
Pull one spark plug wire at a time, see how much difference it make in the way it ildes.
Listen with a mechs. stethoscope.
Take the valve covers off and look for a short valve.
ETC. ETC.

I bought myself a set of 243's from Davenport Motorsports... I'll be throwing those on over the weekend, that'll tell me about any bent valves.

scan tool if check engine light.

other way to see which cylinder is "missing" is by removing injector connectors one at a time. whichever one has the least effect on the motor would be the first one to inspect.
