how do I get the dash pad off?

I have a 1995 Z28 and the dash pad is cracked. I am going to remove it and fix it..but I am not sure how to get it off.

It literaly just pops off. It has body clips holding it on. Sometimes it helps to remove the door piller trim on both sides.

Re: how do I get the dash pad off?

I replaced mine today and I'm actually looking at my old one now...There are four tabs at the front that go into corresponding slots on the dash and one velcro style connector where the "widows peak" point is... There's also 5 more velcro style connectors at the rear... On the edges, there's two slots that the A-pillars slide into.. Remember to remove those... Be careful popping the pad off the velcro spots, especially the velcro piece at the front... That cracks easily around the defrost vent slots... When I removed and installed mine, I found it easiest to rotate the passenger side out first and GENTLY bending it slightly to remove it... When I installed it, I did the reverse and I was able to squeeze the corner of the pad in between the tiny spot between the dash and A-pillar... Just be careful because they break easily.

Z95m6 try ebay... There's one for sale now that's up to $127... Or try here http://www.classicindustries.com and go to "download a catalog" and you can check out the price from there... Sometimes you get lucky, I did today and found one from a wrecking yard for $20.
