Horn...

I know this has probably been asked at least a couple of times before, but I couldn't find it on here.... What is the most common reason my horn would not work... and how would I fix it? I've checked the fuse box and everything's okay there....

Thanks in advance for any help you can give...

Might want to add some specific info about your car - year, model, etc. The "signature" field is a good place to include this info.

They often get moisture in them and corrode. Down low, easy to get road spray splashed into them.

Yes, that would help, thanks Injuneer... 1995 Medium Dark Purple Metallic Formula Convertible, A4, 80,000 miles, SoCal car, currently exposed to LOTS of rain while sitting outdoors a few day waiting for me to pick it up, and then in the deluge seen on the national news when I drove it home from San Diego.

Thanks for info, but I found the horn thread list... luckily I have a Pick-a-Part 15 minutes away that usually stocks a few 4th-gen f-bodies (in fact, found a 4th-gen repair book in one!)... I'll pick up a horn and relay first... and if that's not it I'll just have to pull that airbag....

Re: Horn...

BTW, for the record, this was just a bad horn relay (and don't try a relay from Pep Boys or Allied -- they're made in India so there's a good chance it won't even fit properly).
