Hole in Header

I have a hole in one of my LT headers. Its about the size of half a penny. I know i can just get it welded, but isn't there a product at autozone or somewhere that is made for exhaust holes?

Re: Hole in Header

um...where is it?

is it a hole for an O2 bung or for one of the emissions fittings?

or has this rusted? in that case i would buy a new set of headers!!

Re: Hole in Header

Yes, there is a product that you can get an seal the hole with on headers. Its kinda like the stuff that is available for exhaust systems.
I had a cracked header on my old F-250 and smeared sealer on it because it needed to get tested for emmisions.
It worked, but use it only as a temp fix, until you can get it welded. I've never had that stuff stay on for any good length of time.
