Arrow Help wiring in gauges!!

I have done a search and found many replies by Injuneer on this but everything is LT1 and didn't find anything on LS1. I have the light switch pulled out and I am looking at all the wires on the switch and dimmer but what I would like to know is if I could wire my autometer lunar series gauges into the dimmer so I could dim those as well as the dash at the same time or am I stuck tapping into the brown wire on the switch? And could I also tap into either of the large red wires on the light switch as well or is there one 12V ignition source? And in the instructions it says to ground it into a good engine ground, now is this a any good ground or am I looking for something the actual engine is grounded to? Because the wire sure the hell aint long enough for that! So can someone help me with these 3 questions I would sure appreciate that!!

I don't see why you couldn't use the dimmer wire. Any ground wire in the dash or to a metal part under the dash would be fine.

The brown wire will be fine and any metal ground will too. The red wire on the switch is always hot, so you don't want that. Look in the fuse panel. There is usually a spare slot that says IGN or ACCY. That should be powered only when the ignition is on. Use a meter or test light to check it out, if you need to.
