HELP: Car stopped running in the middle of the road
I need help quick to get my car home
Last night I noticed a rubbing/grinding noise coming from my engine.
I assumed it was the waterpump going out but the temp was find.
I also found a hose that goes from the throttle body to the passenger valve cover was out of the hole on the valve cover side.
This morning I started up the car to try to figure out where the noise is coming from. I heard nothing.
Then I went to the corner store with my car and on the way back the noise came back, 5 seconds later I hear a pop noise. It wasnt a loud pop like a spark plug popping out. More of a medium loudness if that makes sense.
Then the "check gauges" light came on and my car stopped running.
Now it's stuck on the street and won't start up again. When I crank it it sounds like it wants to start. I hear a couple of puff puff coming from the exhaust but nothing else.
Could it be my rockers? I have no idea what's wrong. Hopefully you guys can help me out again.
Thanks
Oliver

Re: HELP: Car stopped running in the middle of the road
Check that you intake ducting is all connected. The noise could have been a back fire and caused your intake tube to pop off. Car will die as the MAF thinks there's zero air entering the motor.

I checked all connections. Everything seems fine.
The weird part is the "check gages" light is on and not the SES.
Could it be the opti? I'm still getting spark at the plugs though.
