HELP! 94 Z keyless entry won't work

I've tried new batteries but the keyfob still will not work. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it the fob or something related on the car?

There's been threads floating around about this randomly...it could be that your remote just needs to be cleaned. Open it up and you'll see a small PCB board, a rubber molded part that has the buttons, and your battery. Just clean the pads on the PCB board where they contact the inside of the buttons. No cleaners, just use a paper towel or an eraser. You'll see some black gunk just wipe off. Also clean the inside of the buttons that contact the pads.

If this doesn't work, then maybe your remote is broken, but try cleaning first. Several folks...including myself...have this problem. It's gotten so bad for me lately, I need to clean mine about once a month.

Try cleaning it first, if that doesn't work then reset it.

Just turn the key to on(don't turn the car on)then to off about three times(until you hear/see all the doors unlock/hatch release) then stand by your driver's side door/fender(don't know if that actually matters)and hold down the lock and unlock buttons for 5-10 seconds and everything should lock/unlock.

I had to do this with my old 96Z a lot. Hope that helps!

Don't forget to pull out the fuse for the radio before you do that or it won't work.
