heater weak

just bought a 1996 Z28 and find the heater to be weak; it blows barely warm air. Any ideas as to what to check? Thank you.

Re: heater weak

Unfortunately, you posted in the 2016 Camaro News forum. Let's move this to the 4th gen forums.

Typical problem is a clogged heater core. Do the lines to and from the heater core both get hot?

If the core is plugged, pull the heater lines off the water pump, and flush the core in both directions with a moderate pressure garden hose. Cover the Optispark distributor so there's no chance of it getting wet.
