heater core

My car doesnt blow heat so i changed out thermostat and still isnt. Car doesnt over heat so Im guessing its the heater core. I looked on ebay and they are selling delphi for around 60 with shipping and acdelco for around 150 shipped. does it matter between the two and how hard is it to change out heater core in 95 camaro Z28. This car hates me first its an oil leak (head gaskets) now its antifreeze (i think its waterpump) and I thinkit hit the opti because it hesitates at idle and giving gas lightly.I hope I get this car straightened out soon so I can enjoy it more.

Re: heater core

Have you tried flushing the heater core with a garden hose? Have you checked the operation of the vacuum operated HVAC diverter doors and the cable activated hot/cold door? If the core isn't leaking, it's probably just plugged with crud.
