Headlight Motor Making WIERD Noise!!!

I Have a 95 Trans Am and before when I would put on my parking lights only they would come on (front and rear) but now overnight my headlights come up also when I put on the parking lights (1/2 click not all the way over to headlights) The headlights dont turn on just pop up. Also when I shut them off and they go down after they go down for like 3-5 seconds the passengerside motor sounds like its grinding or moaning!?!?!?! Does anyone know what that is from? They go up and down fast with no problem but the other one seems like it still wants to go down farther after they are all the way down? Any help would be awsome. Thanks!!!

gear is bad in the headlight motor. You just need a new gear or a new motor from ebay or gm.

The gear is stripping out. GM did a very poor job and made the gear out of teflon or plastic....... You can buy metal gears, they're well worth it in my opinion.

Please post on correct forum.... "headlights" do not belong on "LT1 Engine Tech". Moving to "General....Tech".

You need to find Brent's guide to the headlight "fix".
