Removing Non-Power Antenna?

Hey, I hate the radio and never ever listen to it and I'd like to take my antenna off. If it did this, woul there be a big whole where it was?

Yes, a hole about a inch in diameter would be there. Lots of people go with a very short antenna. Also I believe there is a plug you can buy but I don't know where to get it.

I had mine shaved when I got the car painted. Let me tell you, looks much better without anything there. I never realized just how bad it looked stock, without is much cleaner. Definately, worth the money.

The "mast" unscrews from the base, and leaves a short threaded stub. I put a small black vacuum cap over the stud, and that makes it look like a retracted power antenna. My radio is long gone, as is all the mounting hardware for the antenna... just has the base to cover the hole.

LOL, Fred. That is exactly the way mine has been for years. Since my car is black, it is hardly noticeable. I never listen to the radio (I still listen to the CD player some).

Re: Removing Non-Power Antenna?

it should have come with 2 "cloth" washers (made of the same material as the cover) about 2" in diameter. they have an adhesive back. your supposed to cut the cover, then place them on both sides. then you have a hole in your cover.

Or you can remove your antenna each time you put it on...i did this for a while. then i installed a power antenna...looks/works great
