headlight covers

I want some covers for those huge holes in my 1995 camaro's headlights. not some ugly ricer looking ones but ones to smooth out the front end...anyone know where to get them or how to make them?

Re: headlight covers

i tried some one time, gts clear. i was tinkering with the aerodynamics at high speed. needless to say, the flappy, soft plastic blew off at just over 100mph. not enough support in the middle. but, just fyi - try looking for the clear ones if you don't want tinted. heck you could probably paint them to match although the flex might continually crack the paint.

aluminum fabrication comes to mind.

Re: headlight covers

I have the RK Sport ones and they are pretty nice. They hold pretty good since they have a velcro tab on each side and a metal tab in the middle. They sit flush and I have never had them fly off at high speed like other people have!

Re: headlight covers

My brother-in-law had them and he said they wouldn't stay on......and he didn't wanna have to put holes in the car or anything to keep them down, so he ditched them.

i was thinking about clear ones on my car but after what he told me I thought otherwise.....just FYI.

Re: headlight covers

I was also thikning about this. But how about the tail light covers as well. Let's say, blackouts. How well can people see your turn signals and whatnot during the day?

Well, I've got the taillight covers, and as far as I know, they let out enough light, because I haven't had anyone tell me otherwise. I got pulled over a few weeks ago and the cop said nothing about them, so.....that basically gave me the go-ahead to keep them on.

My dad looked at them when I first put them on, and he didn't think they blacked out too much light.

Re: headlight covers

Good to know. I just don't know if they'd look good on my car. I've got a neighbor that has extra ones that I can try out.
